A bright smile shines through neglect
From Serena's bright smile and playful energy, one would never guess she was born in to a neglectful family. At age two, she was unable to use the bathroom on her own, she was still drinking out of the bottle and had not yet said her first words. Thanks to CASA Nashville's efforts, Serena has been placed in a loving and supportive home. Her words upon being taken home by her adoptive mother say it all, "I'm free".
