Brotherly Love

Nitin and Neil Jhamb have always been close. Sure, there were moments when the two brothers fought, but for the most part, they have always been tight. That was never more evident than in December 2016.

It was a typical day for Nitin as he was helping out at his son's basketball practice in Bowling Green, Kentucky. All of a sudden, as he describes it, he felt a vibration going up and down his left arm. An odd tingling sensation. When it didn't go away, he alertly walked over to another parent in the stands and asked them to call 911. It was absolutely the right thing to do and likely saved his life. Nitin, only 35 years old, was having a stroke.

The second thing which saved his life was his younger brother Neil. Ironically, Neil is a neurologist in Nashville at Saint Thomas Health, a part of Ascension.

In the video, find out why the stroke symptoms suddenly went away and then hours later came back with a vengeance. The remarkable story of two brothers and how one helped the other survive a major stroke.
