Vanderbilt students overcome adversity to manage baseball team

The Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team does not have to look far for inspiration. Their student managers have overcome much to get to where they are. Josh Ruchotzke has been a quadruple amputee for several years after an infection. He was given less than a 5 percent chance to live. Mike Portu has undergone four heart surgeries and survived other ongoing health issues. However, these two young men are both outstanding and can do just as much as the baseball team players.
