Woman Suffers Two Aneurysms, Lives to Tell Her Story

In the medical world, when a person suffers two hemorrhagic aneurysms, their chances of living diminish to less than 10%.  Anita Pirtle of Murfreesboro, TN is living proof you can beat the odds.

In the summer of 2014, Anita was driving back home from running errands.  All of a sudden, she got an excruciating headache.  It was so bad, she had to pull off to the side.   She waved down a couple of guys on motorcycles and asked them to call for an ambulance.

After arriving at Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, she was transported to Saint Thomas West for emergency surgery to repair an aneurysm in her brain.  While in ICU, she had another aneurysm.

Anita survived both aneurysms, but for the next few months, she would have to go through intense physical, speech and occupational  therapy.  By working hard during therapy, the love from her husband Mark and their family, and her faith in God... Anita is back to living a normal life not taking one single day for granted.
